I am actually a big fan of the winter Olympics, especially the bobsled teams. Maybe that stems from my one of my favorite movies as a child Cool Running.
If you were not a fan of the winter Olympics, that movie could possibly make you a fan, to see a team that comes from a tropical paradise, with no snow or cold what so ever. To becoming an amazing bobsled team.
The cast included John Candy, from the movie Uncle Buck. to Doug E. Doug.
This was a great movie for its time, I know things have made a leap to CGI, and other crazy CGI movies. Which is not a bad thing, its made things that were previously impossible to do on TV possible.
But I am definitely looking forward to the ceremonies and events to come, Bobsledding at most, speed skating, skiing,
I have never considered myself a sports fan in the least. Even watching these teams i don't root for any one team. I watch for the general enjoyment of seeing it all. Personally I would like one day to see the Olympic events take place in real life. To go and see nations compete.
Its like rocky 4, It would be cool if our nations fought wars this way. No death, competition for whatever they want. Complete domination of another country off the table. But other things they want for their nation would then be met by the losing nations.
It would be cool to see them to use this every four years to compete for world peace. Meaning no war, no death due to strife. Anyone breaking those rules would be imprison in interment camps till the next session of competition. Which their nation could demand their release if they win. I think that would make the showing even better. No one dies, and the best nation grows to stay the best. Some would think that is not right. But then again they worked for it.
But in end i am really looking forward to all the coming events. I hope you are to.
